apples!

saw them--looks like a great website, but they're horribly dated, and it turns out there arent very many apple orchards in Alabama to start with :(

i've found two in north GA, and there are some (from that site) up near Clarksville, so I'll be giving them a call this afternoon!

thanks!

I pick my own from the 3 dwarf apple trees in my backyard, but I've picked them all already this year.
Of course Isom's on Hwy 72 east of Athens has a small but nice orchard... I don't think it's u-pick-em though.

Try:

Ernest Phillips - Apples.
6211 County Highway 29, Oneonta, AL. Phone: 205-274-8798. Open: July 4 to September 15, Monday to Saturday, daylight to dark; Closed on Sundays.

I called and he said he had 4 varieties, just not a lot of them (he couldn't do a truck load)

The list alabrew posted said that Isom does let you pick, too, although I never knew that they did. I suppose you can give them a call to find out. Isom has great varieties of apples.
