April 2011 club meeting

Dana has volunteered to have the April meeting at her house.

Date: April 16th
Time: 5pm
Location: Dana's House (look on the private forum for directions or PM)

Food: Dana and Richard will grill/smoke the main course - more info to follow.

The Seven Islands Nature Refuge is adjacent to Dana's place. It has activities like hiking, a small boat launch for canoes & kayaks, and stuff. Ask for more info if you are interested.

I predict a great weather day. We need to have a good turnout this time folks. See if you can make it.

Its my understanding that the swap will be the topic, so bring your great ideas!

I will try to be there. I have to check and make sure nothing else has already been planned for me, though. Should I bring my (yet-to-be-stolen) guitar along this time? :)
 
Steph and I will be there.

Seven Islands is really nice. We'll probably come down a few hours early and get the dog and ourselves some exercise. Dana, do you have any human-powered watercraft? That would be rad.
 
i have a canoe and a kayak, and you're welcome to them! if you'd like to come earlier in the day, i could drive you and the canoe up to the 66 ramp and you could spend a couple hours floating down and just get out in front of the house.

If somebody else doesn't take you up on that, I might have to. My youngest son has been nagging me to take him river canoeing. This sounds more tame that what he has in mind, but it sounds fun to me. ;)
 
what sort of dishes are needed, food-wise?

yeah, that'd be rad! how long of a trip you think it is (so I know when we should be there)?
 
joel...my answer to you will always be those awesome potatoes!

as far as the time, i'm thinking about 4 hours, but its been a while since we've done it. i'll find out for sure.
 
Status of making it is uncertain now. But I did add the meeting announcement to our website. Please go double check it and modify it as needed (it is the 2nd post after the frag swap post, which I made "sticky").

Come and get some great food. Will be doing some frag swap planning. I will not promise that the planning is going to be fun. I can promise that it is necessary if we are to have a good swap.

Does anyone with a large tank with lots of 'pods want a scooter blenny/dragonette? I don't think he's getting enough to eat in my tank. I can bring him to the meeting. $5, small frag, or free...
