Aptasia and size

I bought some 30 lbs of LR from someone and found that is had some aptasia on it. Some are very small and the larger ones I treated with Joes Juice. The smaller ones are hard to treat. I have only had the tank up for 2 weeks and My ammonia is at .5. I was thinking of waiting until the ammonia was a 0 then putting in about 5 peppermint shrimp. Is this a good idea?

30 gallon eclipse.
30 lbs live sand
42 lbs live rock.

yea the peppermint shrimp will do the job.

With Joes Juice make sure you get it right in the center.

I noticed that about the JJ and getting in the center. Do I definitely wait till the ammonia gets to 0? I am worried about the aptasia spreading to quickly.
