Aptasia - ever hear this?

I have a rock full of Aptasia (possible misspelling). I am in the process of upgrading tanks and havent gotten around to doing anything about it. Some are as big as a quarter, not including tenticles.

I just went down and caught a glimpse of my tank and one aptasia, was in the process of swallowing a medium size scarlet hermit crab.

Has anyone heard of this? What else do they eat?

they will eat anything they can get and fit in their mouth.

the thing is they will kill more than they can fit. fish, corals, sting your hand

Aptasia are very indescriminate. I had a friend with a 210 that let aptasia completely cover every inch of the live rock and glass and some got to be as big as a golf ball. It was like a stinging death trap for everything in the tank
