Aptasia HELP!

I just purchased some new rock today at my LFS, and found one small aptasia anemony on it! What is the best way to get it off before it spreads?

after closely looking at the rock just now, i found another extreamly tiny aiptasia anemone! Will pepermint shrimp eat them? I am going to be getting two for my clean up crew soon after my tank cycles a little bit.

I just got rid of all the aptasia in my 125 reef. The best thing to use is called Joe's Juice. It is made just for aiptasia and majano anemones. It comes with a dropper, you just put a littlie at the anemones mouth and it dies. Joe's Juice is also reef safe, it cost about eight bucks. Good Luck

would my LFS have it?

They should. If not another product to try is Stop Aptasia, can't remember who makes it.

All of the big name online vendors usually carry it too.

You can also you Kalk, just need it in a paste form, so you can apply it directly to them. Mix it up thick, and draw it up in a syringe, or eye dropper and apply to them, heavily, if need be. This should take care of them. Oh, this is just in case you can't find Joe's juice, which I haven't seen at my LFS

Just use a lime. They're only like 30 cents. And yes, the peppermints should eat them if they're small enough.

Yes. You can shoot lime or lemon juice into the base of them with a small needle syringe. I have tried this...Not as good as Joe's or Tropic Marins elimaptasia product. I also keep Peppermints for upkeep.

I have tried injecting lemon juice into some majanos. They closed up and looked unhappy, but came back in about two days. I repeated this about four times, every time they came back. I used joe's juice once and havn't seen them in several weeks.
