Aqua C Remora

I have one on my 29. Works great. Specific positives are the black acrylic (no algae), and the spray injector that it uses seems to be much more effective than the venturi type HOB skimmers like the CPR bacpac. Mine was pulling dark, stinky skimmate within about on hour of putting it on the tank. apparently it cannot overflow from the collection cup, but I have never let it get that full. I researched HOBs for a while and the AquaC won out. Only knock against it is the suface skimmer box you have to buy separate, and it is pretty big b/c it houses the pump (In my case the mj1200).

They sell them at Phishy, so I am sure they can hook you up with a bit more technical info than me lol.

well i actually have one on my 29 reef and i cant get it to pull anything it just foams into the tank any tips

By foam I hope you mean just putting out micro bubbles, if so, how long has it been on the tank. Also, when I first set mine up I was missing the o-ring that fits around the cup so you can adjust it up and down. So I had the cup sitting all the way down. The skimmate was really wet with it all the way down but it would fill up about 1/4 inch a day (I have only two small gobies, so bioload is pretty small), I slowly bumped up the cup until it started pulling nice skimmate. What pump do you have on it? Also, have you tried to clean out the injector nozzle, I would imagine if you had a blockage here that it would cause it to not skim properly. Hope this helps.

One more thing. I have read somewhere that it does sometimes take these skimmers up to a few weeks to prime themselves (mine was used), so it could be that it is just going through some "growing pains".
