Aqua Medic Ocean Light Opinions?

I have the 48" two 250w & two 54w T5. I love mine.

I did not opt for the reflex cube, just magnetic ballasts.

Have you already bought it?

I also have the 48" 250W halides with two 54W T-5. The light itself is very nice and the hanging system is cool to , makes it very easy to lower or raise the light. I really like this fixture and I only have two complaints about it. One is that changing the bulbs is kind of a pain since you have to remove most of the panels to get to both lights, and when its hanging in the air this can be difficult. The other complaint is that the ballast are kind of loud, they makes a buzzing sound that can be heard outside of the stand. Would that stop me from getting another one, no way I am very happy with it. One thing though is the DE bulbs dont have the selection that SE bulbs do. Not as many choices out there and even with the same companies bulbs the DE bulbs never look as good or produce as much par as the SE bulbs do.

I have one. It's pretty good light, but it gets pretty hot. I have a fan on the side of my wall that blows across the water and into the side of the light. Since it doesn't have any cooling, it probably cuts the T-5 lifespan nearly in half. I have also retro-fitted some moonlights onto the fixture, another thing it lacked.

Although I don't really have any complaints, if I were to do it again, I think I'd look for a fixture that has some fans built-in to keep things cool while the lights are on.
