Appologies if this is in the wrong area.
I have a Aqua medic Perdula 120 tank. I am struggling with nitrates, Phospahate appears to be OK, reads Zero with the test kit. Nitrate I cant get below what appears to be 3 using the salifert test kit.
I have been reading on this great forum that Bio Balls which I use in my set up are a nitrate farm.
So I am thinking perhaps I should remove the Bio Balls slowly and replace with Live rock or Live rock rubble.
Also, instead of having this like a trickle tower, to flood that compartment all together, and then have some divider in to the the following chamber were there can be a Deep sand bed, ie make the rear of the Percula tank into what would be a sump.
Ideas/comments/welcome.
