Recently I was thinking of buying lights on aqua trades when I even mentioned there name on reef central I started hearing horrible stories are they really that bad?
Do u got any stories about how good or bad there products or service is?

Well there are a few "my ballast caught fire and smoked" threads. I've never liked the bulbs they include with the CF fixtures either (have to replace right away).Their T5 fixtures don't include individual reflectors (and the reflector is stainless steel - not aluminum). So in short, you get what you pay for.

I was a fan of aquatraders before I knew any better. I bought two Power Compact fixtures from them and a T5 fixture.

As mentioned the T5 fixture was a single reflector. It was a 54 watt system that looked dimmer than the 2 20watt screw in PC bulbs I replaced. I am now back to the screw in bulbs.

The ballast went out on the 36" pc fixture that I purchased and two of the three on/off switches on the 48"PC fixture I purchased no longer work. luckily they broke in the on possition so now they are on timers.
