AquaC Remora Intake Modification

Has anyone modded or changed the connection from the mag 3 pump to the intake on the remora pro? I find it very difficult to connect and disconnect that small piece of flex tubing with those two black clips every time I want to clean the skimmer. Is there an easier method for connection?

I've only seen one modification on the skimmer box and the reefer drilled four more holes under the skimmer slots to allow water in, so when evaporation dropped the water level below the slots the pump didn't run dry.

My box isn't sealed between the intake and outflow compartments on the bottom and the manufacturer said it was by design to keep the pump from running dry.

I'd like to see a better way to fix the box to the tank and let the skimmer sit pump just sit in the compartment.

Drill two small holes in the back of the box and attach suction cups to it. You can then slide the box up and down without using the small thumb screws.

I don't like suction cups, but a couple of magnets would certainly hold it in place!! Great idea, I'm off to google a magnet company, thanks!!
