Aquacontroller jr issues
I'm hoping someone out there has some insight for me.....I have been running an aquacontroller jr. with dc8 for about 8 months on my system with no issues at all. I have it set up to turn on my t-5s, main halides, heaters if temp falls below 78.5, and cut out the two outside halides if temp hits 82. For a couple of weeks or more now, I have hit my max temp and the computer screen shows that the lights have been turned off, but they don't turn off! Also just tonight the lights didn't turn off at their specified off time. Again screen icon showed off but power still there at the dc8 module!!??

All of this roughly correlates to switching my center metal halide from an electronic 250 to a mag 400watt. The outside two have been mag 400w for several months with no issues.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Jon, I've been running a couple of Jrs. for a year and haven't seen anything quite like that. I have had a few other strange things happen though.

I couldn't find any errors in the setup. My eventual approach was to reset the thing back to original specs and reprogram. (The Microsoft approach.)

Does yours have the serial cable port? If so, you might want to take the opportunity to download the latest release of the software from Neptune. (I have it and a serial cable if that's any help.)

You might also try posting in the Neptune Systems vendor forum. They are generally pretty responsive (although this week might be slow for all of those forums...)

Jon & Tabitha,

Does the light respond in the manual control mode?

Do you use all the oulets on the dc8? If not, try moving to a unused outlet and program accordingly.

I would say try to reprogram it if all else fails.
