I bought this AquaController2 to help automate my reef setup but since then I have decided that I need money more than a controller right now so it is up for sale and going cheap. The setup has some extras that do not come with the standard model such as:
- Backlighting on the display ($45 option)
- PH probe (always kept wet so still working perfectly)
- 4- X10 modules with IM513 controller module (2 more than standard package. The modules are 3x AM466 and 1x LM465t)
- Aquanotes 3.1 for Windows
- Serial cable for the MAC or PC so you can get updates or even text messages or emails if certain alarms are activated. With this unit having its own battery backup you can even be notified when there is a power outage in time to get home and fire up the generator.
The list of standard features is lengthy but some of the features I think are neat are:
- sunrise/sunset patterns built in that follow actual season changes and adjust your lighting schedule to help corals grow and spawn.
- moonlight dimmer control built in that controls moonlight intensity according to the actual moon phases to help corals grow and spawn.
- temp controller that can turn heaters, fans, chillers, on/off to maintain stable temps and will also turn off your designated lighting if temps go above your set max temp.
- Password protect the unit so your settings do not get changed (accidental button push or kids pushing buttons)
- control PH using kalk reactor or use the PH comtroller for your calcium reactor.
- AC adapter with battery backup so you don't lose all of your settings with a power outage and it also enables the unit to notify you when it goes out and track how long the power was off.
- controll up to 20 seperate devices.
- tracking of tank's parameters and web-based access to the status of your reef from anywhere in the world.
That one is really cool, you can log in and turn any module on or off from any computer with web access.
The owners manuals and all items are in their original boxes. When I priced everything out at THIS LINK the total was $631.84. I am going to let it all go for $325 to the first person who comes with the money. I don't mean to be rude but lots of times I have told people that things are sold only to have the original deal fall through.
To read more about the features follow THIS LINK and see all of the great features of this controller. It even has an external switch input that you can program to perform many functions all with one push of a button. You could have the controller mounted in your stand and have a hidden "feed mode button" on the side of the stand that you program to turn off the return pumps, protein skimmer, powerheads and whatever else you want for a set time (like 15 minutes) then come back on automatically so you never forget again and your fish don't have to chase the food (plus you aren't feeding your skimmer instead of the tank)
I will run this for a few days in the local forums then hit the main RC sales forum. It would only cost like $8 to ship it all.
Thanks,
-- Kevin
I also have a Milwuakee SMS-120 PH monitor with probe that I will let go for $50. CLICK HERE for more details
