Aquaculture materials

I'm interested in aquaculturing a few different things; corals, inverts, etc.

I'm trying to find a company that supplies stock tanks and filtration. I would prefer a pre-fab system but I guess if I have to DIY then I'll just have to do it that way. Everything I'm finding is either for aquaculturing fish, or it's just not remotely what I'm looking for.

I'm not aiming for a huge system, maybe a few hundred gallons. My thinking is maybe 6 50-gallon tanks plumbed together. One with a remote sand bed/refugium, one with only live rock and sump, and the rest for livestock. I'm not all that handy with the DIY skills though, so as simple as that setup sounds I'm not all that sure I can pull it off. The egg-crate shelves and other miscellaneous parts I can handle. It's the holding tanks themselves I'm concerned with.

Any help locating something like that would be greatly appreciated.

A quick stab in the dark.
Have you tried Ebay? There's usually something about that's cost effective and could meet your needs.
Otherwise try talking to your lfs, they'd know what's local to you. Or may possibly be able supply you with what you need on a discount.

Well, you're going to have to DIY. No one makes pre-fab coral or invert farms. They're all custom made and custom designed depending on what invert you want to grow.

www.aquaticeco.com is one of the biggest online aquaculture suppliers, but you can also get in touch with your state extension office and see if they can recommend some local supply houses. Tanks and fittings for them are usually easy to get at Co-op or Tractor Supply.
