Aqualight Fan

Is there anyway to get the foam filter out of the aqualight fan to clean it? I do not see anyway to take off the plastic guard. I have this fan mounted on one end of my canopy and need to clean the filter. Thanks, Vicki

I think it just pops off, but I will check and let you know.
