Aquamaxx HOB

Hello All! Totally new to the hobby. I have a 28g jbj nano led. Just purchased the Aquamaxx HOB 1 skimmer. I am getting nothing but microbubbles. I broke in for an hour with warm water. I have the return dumping on a sponge. I have tried a bunch of different angles and still those danged microbubbles! Any tips?

They will dissipate over time if it is brand new. Give it a week or two.

Yep, completely normal. If you want to though a vinegar bath would speed up the break in period IMO. I do this to all my new equipment, especially skimmers.

Yup that's normal you micro bubbles should dissipate.

Thanks Ange I read though your build quite impressive! So heres my issue, i tried the 90 elbow and short down tube for the return pouring on a sponge I got crazy microbubbles but whisper quiet. I then tried the T with no down tube pouring on the same sponge, no bubbles what so ever but am annoying syphon like sound.
