I realize Aquanotes Lite has no support what-so-ever but what experience I am having now with the software is giving me a warm and fuzzy for buying the retail version.
I have my COM1 on my laptop set to 9600baud, 8 bit, no parity, one stop bit, no flow control. I am running the laptop on battery only. I am connecting through the serial port connection and I can access all the data settings in the ACIII and modify time and update without problems except for the Program Editor (which is THE most important one to me). The program is downloaded and displayed incorrectly. The timer program ON/OFF states have random ascii charachters where the 'O' is in ON and OFF. Some are ok others say "LFF" or "$N" or "PFF". Attempting to send the default timer program back to the controller is successfull only if I fix all the O's. Now for the REALLY annoying part. If I change a timer name say from LT1$-A1 to MH1$-A1 and change the corresponding program line for the If time statements and attempt to send the program back to the controller, Aquanotes responds with a message that says "NO ALARM TIMER NAMED LT1" so I click OK and then I get "Run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument" clicking OK closes down Aquanotes completely.
I am going to try this one more time later but I'll try using the ethernet port. If the serial port is no longer supported then it should say that in the manual.
