Aquanotes Log Issues

I have my ACII setup and it is working fine. The ACII itself is creating a log on the unit. My problem is Aquanotes does not seem to be pulling in these logs. My graphs and reports show nothing. I have looked at every option I can find but nothing works.

The documentation doesn't mention anything about a switch to turn this on. By the way, aquanotes is talking to the ACII, my current parameters display just fine and email alarms work well. I am just not able to analyze my logs for trend analysis.

Anyone have any ideas?

Make sure that the serial number is setup in aquanotes and that it matches the serial number of your controller.

Also be sure the "record data log" box is checked in your tank database, go to the config tab for this.

Thanks JB, the serial # did the trick. My bad though, I skimmed over that step in the setup steps. One of these days I will read a manual.

This program is buggy

This program is buggy

Aquanotes is logging now. But aquanotes crashed for the third time on me. I keep having to re-install it. The aquanotes website works fine but I can't get into the desktop application I get a System Error &H80004015 class is configured to run as a different security Id.

Funny thing is it runs for a few hours fine, then won't run anymore. The service still seems to be collecting data.

Anyone have this issue? I don't think I like Aquanotes much. It seems to be pretty unstable. I am gonna take a look a JAqua.

I know what you mean about Aquanotes, i think its super flakey.

Thanks Jeremy this lead me to the solution. I set the user to the "Launching user" in the DComm utility and that seemed to solve the problem. Still think it is a bit odd we would have to do this. In 15 years in dealing with Windows I don't think I have ever seen that utililty.

Einsteins, I will try a post next. Jaqua ia an all Java program to replace Aquanotes. Don't know that it is any good yet. You do have to manually install it which is a pain. I don't have it talking to the AC yet, but I am going to keep trying.
