I never feed mine purposely and have never really observed them eating. They seem to thrive on light and whatever is in the water. I have 2 x 150W MH on a 46g tank. They do equally well high or low in the tank and retain their bright colors unless they spread into a shaded area.
Unless you want them everywhere, I recommend that you don't postion them on the main rockwork. This particular variety spreads quickly for me. Eventually everyone in town will have these in their tank!
True. I have seen other varieties close up a bit and appear to eat. After all, zoanthids have what appears to be a "mouth", it should follow that they eat.
Mine don't seem to require target feeding of any kind though to thrive.
Thanks for the replies - and I'm glad to hear they spread fast! While I wouldn't want them to spread over the entire tank, I wouldn't mind a big rock covered with them !
Fish - the Eagle Eyes took a little longer to open up, but they have now! They look great!
Wow, the zoos look great...Aquaphilic I want some at the next frag swap!!
Fish, all the zoos I picked up look great...love the blueberrys and people eaters....Oh yeah, The Aussie Acans look amazing....I have been target feeding aggressively and they are spreading to neighboring rocks.....Excellent!!
