Aquapod 12 skimmer??

Hey everyone I have an aquapod 12 gallon and I was wondering what were some good skimmers that would fit in this tank with the existing hood on??

Hey There,
I had an AP12 myself. I dont' think there are any quality protein skimmers you can get with the hood on. I know most nano skimmers do a pretty crappy job of getting gunk out. I wouldn't waste my money on them.

With a tank that small, some good LR will provide plenty of filtration. replace the stock pump with something like a MJ1200 for better flow. Maybe take out the bioballs and ceramics and add some LR rubble. Just make sure to do your water changes like normal and you should be good to go.

Sounds like a plan. I'll see if I can't find a MJ1200 lying around the house not in use and give it a whirl and I'll be sure to yank out the other stuff. I'll proabably leave the bag of carbon in and replace it periodically though.

I was recently looking into the same thing and found no good options, Im pretty sure I am going to drill the nano and plumb it into the sump of my 75 that way the euro reef can skim and it will be easier to do water changes...... Of course this will only wokr if the tank is close to the bigger tank, but just a thought.

Yea not much of an option for me. My nano is in my office at work.

pvc's cheap and a shovel isnt that hard to use, Im sure you could work it out

Well I don't think that would really work my office is about a half mile from my house where my 180 is. Nice idea though
