What I was told is to run the Blue lights an hour in the mornings, then turn on the white lights with them afterwards for the day, then to turn off the white lights and hour before turning off the blues.

Now the fans only work with the white lights and not the blue ones.

I did see one person switch the blue lights with the white lights so that the fan comes on with the blue ones. Is this a good move?

My Outer Orbit only runs when the blue lights (PC) are one. But I think the MH generates more heat. Since yours are both PC I would just leave them the way they are. I don't see much gain in the extra fan time. A little faster cool down maybe? 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other IMO.

So how am I doing popping in on every one of your threads? Have i missed any? I swear, im not searching for you, but i guess we are just on rc at similar times. I see no reason that wouldnt work. Normally the 10k are in the center, and you may get a slightly less amount of light into the tank, but i bet it would be minimal. On a side note, have you ever been to nanocustoms dot com?

I have been to nanoreef.com, but really havent signed up for it, I am sticking with RC, I like it here better. I guess I will leave the lights the way they are, but these fans are driving me nuts, they are loud. I need to switch them with something else. Someone told me before, but I forgot which ones.

As for you following my threads, I absolutely appreciate it. I trust your knowledge and truly look forward to your answers. Thanks so much Scuba Steve. I know I can count on you!!!
