aquapop lid question

I'm thinking of going with the AP 24 with pc's and upgrading in a few months to a 150w mh clip on.

Is the lid for the AP removable or is it permanently affixed?

I ordered the AP 24 with the PC lights from fostersnsmith just now. I'll upgrade to the 150w when I have a bit more play $$$. I do have 2 250w hqi pendants. I might hang one high up to see what it looks like over the tank. I think I'll have to hang it too high though to prevent overdoing it. Otherwise I'd just use one of those.

anyone used one of those vipers? how do they compare to the sunpod available on the AP?? I like the NC better as far as design so if its a good light i may go with that instead....also...does it have moon lights?
