Aquarium compartment removal

Hi,

Does anyone know how to remove this built-in sump thing-
see picture. It seems like it is epoxied, but extremely-difficult to remove from the glass. A razor and knife were not working for me. Thanks!

Useing an oscillating saw to cut it apart into sections should make it easier to remove. Be careful to stay away from the glass with the blade.
