Aquarium Plants carbon doser

Can anyone help with an issue before I call the company about what i'm experiencing?

Just got this regulator about a month ago from someone here on RC and it is less than a year old. Been working great and yesterday I noticed my Co2 tank was almost empty which is pretty strange because it is a 20lb tank and only been using it for a month. So I got my new Co2 tank today and swapped out the old one, took down the AP carbon doser and installed it on the new one. When i turned the carbon doser back on, the red light flashes pretty much continuously no matter at what setting you choose for "seconds per bubble". It seems to be stuck at 0.1 seconds per bubble which i never used that setting anyway, had mine at about 4 seconds per bubble. Anyone ever had this happen to them that has one of these? My Apex shuts its down when PH reaches 6.5 in the reactor and turns it back on when its at 6.55 but it is doing it now continuously because of the amount of Co2 going in at a quick rate when its on. Is it bad for the system for it to work like that?

Yeah it is very bad to operate it like this if your apex malfunctions and doesn't shut the co2 off you will have a tank crash. Very good job on setting it up the way you did you saved yourself a crash. I haven't ever experienced the counter getting stuck like yours is doing I think a call to them is in order.
