Are cleaner shrimps a problems with clams in general?

Do your cleaner shrimp ever get caught in your clams?

I am thinking of getting my first clam but am wondering if my skunk cleaners will be snapped by a clam if he sticks his pincers in the fleshy areas. The shrimp are pretty active and I'm sure will check out the clam once he's in the tank...

Does anyone have any problems with this?

cleaner shrimp pretty much only bother clams when the clam is dieing or dead. You should be fine.

I had one clearner shrim that would not leave mine alot and another that did not care about them. I sold the pest.

Never had a problem with my cleaner shrimp and clam

I have 2 skunk cleaners and the have nevr bothered my 2 clams.

I had a skunk cleaner and it would not leave my clams alone I had to catch him and bring him back to my LFS. I will never get another one just incase it decided to take a taste again.
