Are My Lights Good For A Soft Coral Reef

I HAVE A 90 gal reef with about 180 pounds of live rock i have a number of corals, i also have power compacts. 2 65w actinics, and 2 65w10000k ultrasunlight. are those desecet light for maintaing a soft coarl reef etc.

I think you should be OK, depending on placement and specific corals.

That's what we currently have on our 90g mixed reef of softies and LPS. Everything is doing great. I'll admit, most of our corals (except our mushrooms) are in the upper 1/2 of the tank -- that's one reason that I'm in the process of switching to T5HO lighting. I'd like to have more corals near the bottom of the tank.

I think it would be suitable for a softie tank.

Should work fine. Some softies prefer less light. I'm running T5s (which really rock) but that's only because my 110XT is so deep. If I had a 90, I'd probably have chosen PCs. Also with as much rock as you have, you have a lot of placement options. Good luck!

Shrooms good..some leathers....Stay away from anything yellow.....Not enough power...Good luck...
