Are Octos Harder To Keep Than SPS?

I was just curious as I was looking at TONMO and saw that a fair amount of people were using Seaclone and other such skimmers, which most SPS keepers would call inferior.

I don't believe anyone on TONMO would recommend using a seaclone. Some of the newbs that don't realize the importance of quality equipment might use seaclones when piecing together their first octopus tanks.

The typical advice is to use a skimmer that's rated for a tank 3x bigger because octopuses create much more waste than a similarly sized fish.

No, octopuses aren't harder to keep than SPS. Personally I feel that octopuses are easier to keep than most fish. It's just a matter of sealing the tank properly and purchasing a young, healthy octopus.
