Are pipefish scaleless

Hello I was just wondering if pipefish are officially considered scaleless as I have to treat one for ick and the medication says to use half the dose for scaleless fish.

I can't speak for pipefish, but I know of a few instances where seahorse had ick in their gills and were treated with copper. All instances reported the seahorses handled the copper just fine. One had 200 seahorses to treat.
