Are powerheads better then a wave maker

The wavemakers I'm familiar with let's you plug in powerheads. The powerheads are then controlled to go on and off to simulate wave action... Red sea makes a decent wavemaker like this.... And Tunze makes the Rolls Royce of wavemakers with the 6000 series powerheads and controllers.....

Which wavemaker are you considering purchasing?

Good to have if your going the SPS route...... Have you also looked at Oceans Motions closed loop systems? Very cool stuff.... less maintenence than powerheads.....

Have fun.....:D

Cool.... If you think you may go closed loop in the future you may want to predrill the tank before adding water..... I don't know how far you are with your tank... but just a thought....

Have fun.....:D
