Are the green Eheim hoses safe?

I read some clear vinyl hoses leach softeners with phenols in them. What about the green Eheim brand of hose sold for aquariums?

I never had any problems with the clear hoses, and used them for both overflows and return lines for years. I also used the Eheim green hoses a number of years ago when I converted from FW to SW, and kept using them on my QT system.
