Are these safe, and if so, in what quantity...

I have a 92 gallon reef tank...doing well after I repaired it with the vodka method for nitrite issues...

Anyway, I used to have a six line wrasse who I suppose kept these little guys in order...now, it seems like there are many in my tank.

I'm not sure if they'll destroy my coral, hermits, snails, etc...

I have read in some places that these guys are good to have as they keep the sand/substrate clean...

Help?

That is a type of bristle worm probably harmless and should not bother your corals. I believe they are good detritus eaters. You will find that there are more in the tank than you think and yes the wrasse kept them at bay.

Yeah, I figured there are a lot more than I see...I have a lot of liverock so they're probably all living in it. They've definitely become more emboldened since the wrasse passed on...regardless, if they're fine for keeping the tank going, all is good...
