Argh Zoanthid parasite?

I got a frag of about 15 polyps of zoas in the mail and they haven't opened up for three days. I thought maybe it was just bum luck as my other corals including other zoanthids are opening up just fine and are showing no signs of stress etc...

Today I'm looking at the frag really closely and something flickers, I had to stare at it again for a while to make su re I wasn't seeing things and it did it again. Something is growing out of the bottom/side of the frag. It almost looks like some sort of sea squirt, but this would seem highly unlikely as the frag is mounted on a disk. Is this likely the cause of stress here? Anybody got any ideas?

Upon further examination it appears to be some sort of hard clam type creature. No I didn't dip, do you think that would be a good idea now or should I just let them be?

I would dip them. I do a freshwater dip (same temp or close anyway) for 10 minutes. That will take care of most anything the zoos may have in the way nudi's etc. I also do a iodine dip with Seachem Reef Dip just for good measure.
