ARO 250 MH ballast ?

Anyone using the ARO 250 electronic ballast? I'm thinking of getting this retro kit:

I have an ARO 250W Ballast. Purchase from Hellolights.com. Seems to work great...i guess...its been on my tank for 3+ years...actually getting ready to run 2x 250w Aro with Radiums.

Very good. PFO uses them in their electronic ballasts. I opened mine and there it was.

I used the ARO ballasts when first setting up. I like the IceCaps a little more- seemed to burn the bulbs a little less yellow. From what I've seen, the Galaxy's burn them similar to an HQI... I'm thinking of changing them out at some point... They're only a little more than the ARO...

yeah, I was looking at the galaxy's also. Saw them on frag farmer. 50 buck difference per ballast though

I didn't look closely at the link from Lamps Now- that was a retro kit, not just the ballast, like I thought... Yea, $50 is a significant increase...
I need to reed more closely between patients, lol!!!

That's a real nice color Zach117. Are those 400W or 250W? How do you like the Aro ballast?

Its 3x 250 ARO. I like them but I dont know how valuable my opinion is since it is my first MH ballast. I am using the same reflectors that are in that retro you linked. Has fired the bulbs every time, I have used XM, hammys, and radiums. Easy to wire and set up.
