Artificial Rotifers?

I see products at places like Aquatic EcoSystems listed as artificial rotifers. Can these be used instead of culturing rotifers to raise clownfish or cardinals?

serge. im a newbie in breeding clownfish. and i have to say i bought almost every artificial food available in addition to live rotifers. if you open up a bottle it smells very very bad. so imagine adding this to your larvae system. you would almost have to do water changes, 2-3 times a day to control it, but at the same time you take risk killing your larvae with the changes. it might be good as a backup but if you are serious about breeding, its just not the way to go.
