aruba diving?

i know bonaire is close as well. planning a honeymoon trip to aruba, how far away is bonaire and what would be the hot spots either there or in aruba for diving(or hotel accomodations for that matter as well)

I think roughly 30 miles, I have a friend live in Bonair, I am going to Aruba in 3 weeks and he said he will pick me up in his boat to go diving in Bonaire, so Im assuming that its not too far away.

The diving is better in Bonaire and it is close so why not take advantage of it?

i hear you have to take a short flight to get to bonaire from aruba that boats dont take you. Is that true? Since its so close i wouldnt see why u would have to take a plane

If true, that is a problem since you cannot fly immediately after diving

The diving in Aruba is great you would want to go to baby beach there is a shop right on the beach called Jads they offer shore dives where you walk right out behind the building and go in drops to about 40 ft lots of eels and coral heads. They also have boat dives that take you around the island to different spots a couple of good wrecks there also if your into that as far as Hotels stick with the high rises they are within 20 minutes of airport and the blue water and white beaches is as good as it gets my favorite hotel was the Hyatt

I've not been to Aruba so I can't give the recommendations you ask for. I have spent a few dive vacations in Bonaire, prob. 70 miles away or so, and I can't imagine that there would be that big a difference. I say, forget the aggravation of doing that island hop and be happy with Aruba and enjoy the diving there.
