Asfur Angel

Does anyone here have an Asfur Angel? I have some LPS, rics, SPS, zoas and would to keep them intact. What are peoples' experiences with these?

I have one, and i have had it for several years. I have never seen it eat any corals - I have softies, lps and sps.

However, mine is a very grouchy fish, and it is always chasing other inhabitants of my tank. I often see chunks of fins missing on my other fishes, and I believe that is from the Asfur. Mostly, it seems to chase my Moorish Idol, and secondly my Indian Trigger. I have strongly considered removing it from the tank, but whenever I finally get fed up and get ready to, it seems to behave itself for a while until I change my mind. Then it starts back being mean again. Of course, that may just be mine's personality, and not necessarily indicative of the species in general, but that has been my experience.

I kept one for several years and it was good with shrooms, some polyps and leathers but not LPS. They can be quite destructive like all large angels and it is a risk.

My asfur gave some chalices a reverse mohawk after I left them in his tank too long :D

i have an asfur in a FOWLR and he is a descent acting fish and not a "bully" or a push over but his tank mates are all prety capable of taking care of them selfs, such as a huge sail fin tang, clowntrigger, redtooth trigger, pair of tomatoe clowns a tuxedo damsel and a lunnar wrasse

now this asfur hated my lunnar wrasse with a passion and made it his mission to seek out and bully the lunnar who was in the tank a couple years before the asfur, i moved the lunnar to a diffrent tank and inherited a second lunnar from the lfs because it was brought back 3 times as a killer of fish and the asfur and this lunnar get along just fine so go figure why one lunnar was his personal bully toy and the second one is a non issue
