ASM skimmer question

What size ASM skimmer would be good=oversized for a 75 gallon tank that I hope to have some SPS in some day. I picked up a G3 but could have gotten the G4 for 30 more. I can still exchange what do u guys think? I know other brands might be better but I got a good deal on this one from the sale in columbia station.

a G3 should be just fine in a heavy stocked sps 75 gal tank . do the mesh mod and a gate valve for a little bit more kick .

Thanks I planned on getting a octopus extreme 160 but they had the g-3 from hectors place for 195 out the door. Are the two skimmers comparable?

I ran an G4+ on a 300g+ system and it worked great!!

I run a g-2 on my 90gal. and have no complaints at all(with sps too)

Has a g4x on about 300 gallons myself great skimmers for the cash. I always go by the rule of the biggest one you can afford. because you will upgrade tank sizes lol we all do.
