What ever happened to him.?
Would sure like to pick his brain about lens......:)
Was looking foward to that Fish Photography meeting, we were taking about. Maybe we could still have a guess speaker on this subject in the up coming months....:)
HiNt---kAt-Jeff

I heard that Astrogazer's job has kept him very busy of late. I think it was Chris or someone else at the last board meeting that mentioned him.

And my vote is for Jeff to do the next photo meeting :p I'm absolutely aweful at public speaking, but anyone who wants to chat with me about photography at a meeting is more than welcome! I love talking about that and my aqarium:D !

I wouldn't mind teaching a little about photography. I'm undecided whether it would be something to do at a meeting, or as an online "class", which is what astrogazer was planning.

The difference is that in a lecture, it's a one-sided information dump. Some of it you'll remember, some of it you won't. The other option is to do it online over a few weeks. That allows us to be very hands-on. We could even have a few "homework assignments" for each person to play around with their camera, try different settings, and post the results for discussion.

Or, we could kickstart with a meeting presentation, and follow up with online discussion for those that are interested.

I vote for the online discussion. I am not a photographer but would enjoy reading the discussion and seeing the results of all the pictures. It would give more of us the ability to learn something about taking better pictures.

I agree with Jeff.....
An intro to this photo class in a meeting would be a great idea especially with a follow up online discussion. That way if anyone forgets something taught they could easily go back and refer to the thread.
This is an awesome idea!!!!

Hey, I'd love to get some "homework" under my belt too! Always looking to improve my craft and, of course, help anyone else if needed.
