Does anyone know where I can find a pair of 54 watt 48 inch T5 HO ATI True Actinic bulbs?

I don't think they make a true Actinic, you can get a UV Super Actinic T5 (formerly URI) or a Geisemann Pure Actinic T5.

I have used the Geisemann T5 years ago when I lived in Germany and when I came back to the states I thought the URI T12 Actinic looked the same. I have used URI VHO exclusively since.

I bought the blue + T5 for my 150 but don't like it and will change to the UV soon

Checked reefgeek, they don't carry the true actininc ATI bulb...

MLIVVY, sorry I didn't check earlier but I did finally find some for 22.00 each rather than the 39.00 most places wanted for them so I snatched them up when I found them.

Good to hear... your clam is changing color, it's turning more blue...

I have heard the ATI actinic bulb has a better spectrum of light, I believe it peaks in the 420 nm range where as the g-man bulbs are more in the 460 nm range, but don't quote me on that.

that place has been going out of business for over a year so they're probably closed. those are the old ati bulbs which are actually the giesemanns. the new ati bulbs are from a different manufacturer.

So which is it? I was looking for the T5 ATI 48" 54w True Actinic Lamp, but I discovered with all the confusion I ended up with the 48" T5 actinic 03 blue ATI bulb.

Sometime this kind of BS really ticks me off......

ATI discontinued their version of a "true" actinic which they called the Actinic Blue in the fall of 2006. From what I have been able to tell this bulb is very similar to the Giesemann Pure Actinic.

now see i went with g-man because everyone said gman are the best....
now warnberg waits to tell me after i ordered the bulbs that ati is better and now he beats my price rrrr... LOL
