ATO Additives

I just got an ato that's ten gallons. I use a two part calcium dose and ph8.2 (that's the product name. Should I add these to my ato and it will keep my on and calc up?

I would not add it to your ATO system. You may not need alot of the calcium dose or the ph2 that your ATO will put into your tank if you add it in the top off. Your levels will sky rocket, especially if you don't have a high demand for calcium.

Right. I figured that my doses of calc every other day would be ok. I keep SPs. Ill add ph when I do wc like normal

You can put either one of the parts of a two part into top off system water, but not both. If I were to put one in that way, it would be alkalinity since it trends to drop more on a percentage basis each day.

I put limewater into my top off to supplement both calcium and alkalinity.
