ATO kit w/ Kalk

I was wondering how well your top off kit works when it's topping off with kalk saturated water. I know it says it resists calcium build up but I don't know if that means from the sump water or the water it's topping off with.

Also what kind of pump do you recommend to use with this.

Hi vtminter,

The only portion of the top-off kit that touches water is the sensor tube, which is a single piece of clear PVC tube. It has no moving parts and is 1/2" ID, so it is very difficult to clog. It comes with a switch box that you plug your choice of top off pump into, like an aqualifter, peristaltic pump, mini-jet, etc. We recommend using a peristaltic pump when dosing kalk long term. It will shorten the life of small powerheads and aqualifters.
