ATO Pump suggestion

Can anyone recommend a powerhead or pump I can use for ATOs.

I was thinking of getting one of the pumps Tunze uses for the Osmolator.

Or I could use a MJ1200 I have sitting around or what about an aqua lifter?

MJs are good, I use a MJ 900 currently. An aqualifter is good too, But i would trust the MJ more. I have heard a few aqualifters failing after a little time. Nit good for a ATO while on vacation. IMO

It all depends on the head you need and how far your ATO reservoir is from your tank.

I have been using a TOM Aqualifter for about 2 monts now... works really good. I use it with a 5G water jug under my stand.

I am looking for another pum as my next setup I will have to travel about 2' down, 15' horisontal and 5' up...

There's a site autotopoff.com that has a number of pumps with various head. I've got my RO/DI far from the tank and use the pump with the 90 foot of head. Works great. Just pick out the one that will suit you.

Do you guys use the float or the optical sensor?

I have the float right now, but I always liked the Optical sensor which my Osmolator has.
