ATO with Profilux

I am very new to the hobby and I am in the process of upgrading my tank to an ELOS. I am considering Profilux for the controller. I need help with information regarding the ability of the controller for ATO including what accessories would I need to buy for the automatic top off.

Well for ATO it's strait forward. You need:

- P3/P2 of choice
- PL-LF-Base

Now you have a few options for the type of sensor you want to use...
- PL-Optolevel + PL-LF-S12 (my favorite)
- PL-Floater + PL-LF-S8
- Pl-0627 Contact-less Level sensor

...you could also "roll your own" with the the PLM-ADIN (PL-0602) also

Thank you for the information and the quick replies. I can see you have a lot of experience with Profilux - for a small aquarium such as the Elos MINI, do you think it is worth it to go with Profilux or should I use something like the digital aquatics Reef Keeper? - My main concern is reliability and accuracy particularly with the ATO when I am away from home.
