Ato??

I've just got mine setup on my Aquatronica. :)

Works great! It even has a feature to only allow it to topoff for so many seconds before it automatically shuts off... Not a perfect backup plan, but certainly better than nothing!

I have one from autotopoff.com and a DIY. Basically just a float switch with a DC relay and AC/DC converter (cell phone charger plug, etc.). I've had some issues out of the DIY, but only when I let the top off reservoir run dry (the switch gets tricked if it isn't allow to turn everything on and off when it wants for some reason). Never had any issues out of the ato.com part, though (working on five years years).

I have some float switches hooked up to my aquacontroller. I think I have a little feedback from one though because when they are plugged in my pH reading goes crazy.

I'd message Curt at Neptune Systems about that one. You have the III don't you? You should have enough digital inputs to do some nice ATO-type stuff. Maybe post about it on the Neptune Systems forum.

Yeah, it is an ACIII. I read up on it a while back and it is a known problem with the type of float switches I am using. I sealed around the wires with silicone and it worked well for several months and then started acting up again. I just need to take it back out and find where water is getting in again I guess.

I use an osmolator. I'm pretty happy with it overall. The pump is pretty cappy, but they are pretty cheap to replace.

JBJ ATO on my 40/29 w/ shared sump. Lifereef floatswitch on my 75. The Lifereef is nice and is very well built (like all their stuff), but I understand that they aren't making these anymore due to supplier issues. The JBJ is okay, although it came out of the box broken and had to be replaced before I even used it. Both units control small powerheads that sit in 10 gallon tanks filled with RO/DI. The stability they provide the tank is great.
