attaching coral to rock

Hi guys, i got a new peice of coral today, its only small, its attatched to an old snail shell. ive poped the shell in a lil hole in the live rock and it looks good, but i was thinking of putting in on the side of a different part of the rock but it wouldnt stay there itself. so my question is, how can i attach the shell to the rock? i think i read somewhere that some people use superglue?

Use superglue GEL. It must be gel or it really won't work.

I was actually surprised myself that it worked.

thanks, how long would you have the coral and rock out of the tank? do you leave them to dry off abit before gluing and then leave the glue to stick?

Take the coral frag out of the tank and put a big drop on and dunk it under water to the spot you're gluing too very quickly and press firmly. The super glue skins over instantly but isn't dry yet so when you press it on the rock the little superglue bubble breaks and attachs to the rock. Not sure if this is the "right" way to do things but it's how I've attached frags in the past.

i succesfully stuck the coral to the rock, and didnt get any on myself!! but as soon as i took my hand out of the tank, my cleaner shrimp when to have a look, poked his lil claw in the glue and its now stuck to one of his lil white feeding filter bits (thats the technical term!) he cant get it off, i tried to catch him to help but he wont let me! hoping hes going to shred soon and that should sort it!

yeah, If you do a search it seems a lot of people have had this problem with their shrimp. Leave it be. It'll come unstuck itself or it will fix when he molts.

any updates in your shrimp? i am sure it will sacrifice a limb to save his life if not give him alittle help if he cant get undone like someone else said with in 2 or 3 molts it will grow back
