Attaching frags

Just wondering what the locals are using to attach frags to their reefs. I tried using super glue gel on rubble rock, then using epoxy to attach to the live rock. Super Glue worked, epoxy, not so much. Any ideas, or practices that have been successful for yo guys?

Thanks.

I just use Loctite Super Glue Gel on the frag and glue it to a rock in the tank. You have to use a generous amount on the bottom and twist the frag until it attatches to the rock. I learned this from JRaquatics (Jeremy).I never had luck with it until he told me about the twisting technique.

I'll put the frags in a small tupperware bowl with tank water. I will try to have dry rubble. Superglue the frags to the rubble, set back into small tub of tank water for 5-10 minutes. Get epoxy ready. Attach epoxy to rubble and then put into tank and mount to live rock. Three of the six I did this weekend stuck, the other ones eventually (within five hours) fell off. The epoxy was hardening up nicely, but not bonding to the stone. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the epoxy either.

I would like to S-Glue straight to the live rock, but with rics, that is not easy. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated. I plan on taking some pictures tonight and posting.

I would attach your ric to a small piece of rock with super glue gel. I would then attach that bigger pieace rock with the glue as afore mentioned the twisting method works really well. I have had little luck with epoxy unless I really give it time outside of the water to set. Although I hav heard of others having success. I like the super gel personally.

Or get a bunch of rubble in a container and put the ric in with wedding vail over the top and set the whole thing in the tank.

I like the idea of putting it in a container outside of the tank, havent though of that. Like Scott said, wedding veil worked perfect on some xenia I got a while back. I just put the xenia on the rock and covered it in wedding veil and secured it with a rubberband for 3 days and I didnt even lose one stalk. I had about 14 stalks, which reminds me about a post I need to make.
