attatching zoos?

I picked up a good sized zoo rock a few weeks back. Some of the polyps have broken away from the mother colony. What is the proper method to attatch loose zoos to a small rock? I've been using a small dab of super glue on the very bottom of the polyps but in a day or two they come back off. What am I doing wrong?

try drying the rock with a paper towel and the bottom of the polyps. I do it with super glue GEL works great

They're dry when I do it. The polyps are detatching above the spot where they're glued. Hard to explain I suppose. I'll try to get some pictures.

use the gel, and put it on all the bottoms. if you have a bunch of loose polyps make you a few diffrent frags. and make sure the mat is not tore

That's the problem I'm running into, there is no mat. These are individual polyps that have broken off from the main colony. It's hard to get enough glue on there without getting it on the body of the zoa. I heard too much contact with the glue will kill the polyp. I was just wondering if maybe there was another way to go about it.

Wrench, are you sure that you are using Super Glue Gel and not regular Super Glue? I know it was mentioned above but I didn't see you respond to that specifically.

Yes, I'm using the Gel type.

It's almost like the polyp is releasing itself from the attatchment point. The body of the polyp will begin to narrow similar to if there were a tiny rubber band around it. It will get narrower until it eventually breaks away. Leaving behind a very small part of the body along with the dab of hardened super glue on the rock.
