What's up everyone.
I have given this plenty of thought and have decided that its best that I step down from the Secretary position.
I decided to accept Normans nomination for Secretary in the first place because I thought it would be fun to help out in setting up all the activities as well as come up with some new things that members might be interested in along with fixing some things that I thought werent right like the club equipment being missing for so long.
I know that some of you must be thinking "He must have let all the negative people get to him".... Not at all.. I said from the very beginning that I appreciated everyones suggestions and comments so long as they actually offered ideas on how to fix things. To all the members out there that have been vocal I say continue to do so but please try to offer advice as well if possible of course... and to the ones that arent vocal.... BE VOCAL...lol.... It's hard to fix something when one doesnt even know an issue exists.
My problem is with certain individuals in the BOD itself. Dont get me wrong I think we have a great BOD because Jason, Justin and Zef are awesome and really want to help take this club where it needs to go while keeping everything light hearted and fun (as it very well should be) because even though I sound like a broken record this is a hobby not a job and the club is not a bussiness. Give these guys a chance to make things right because I know they will. They want this to work as much as you guys do.
I will continue to be a MTRC member because I still believe in what the club stands for and the help it offers people. I just dont feel like having to deal with people I shouldnt have to deal with because this is past the point of just sitting down and talking about it for me.
I have a home to rebuild, a new born baby (our first baby by the way) and work on top of that and even though I do not currently have a tank myself because the stand was damaged during the flood I still wanted to help out because I really want this club to grow. I was willing to give up my time to help out in any way I could.
I have and still accept my part in things not getting done as fast as they could have or communication being given to you guys as it should have because I was MIA for a while because of everything that happened. For that I appologize cause I dropped the ball.
I will get with Jason and hand him all the club equipment... The only reason I am saying this is because I want all of you to know where it's going so it will never be lost again.
If you guys have ideas/suggestions please state them because you could be sitting there on a great idea that will never happen because the BOD doesnt know about it. Jason, Justin and Zef are very open minded about this kind of stuff.
Like I said I'll still be around and hope to meet some of the new members that I have seen popping up lately.
peace....:wavehand:
