automatic replacing evaporated water in sump

I am going on vacation next month and want to setup something to replace the evaporated water in my sump, I am looking for something that connects to my Kent RO/DI that will do this, can someone suggest the best way to do this and what hardware involved, my sump is located in the cabinet below the tank and the RO/DI is in the other room, which I will route the hoses thru the wall to the sump.

A float will work well as a cheap short-term fix, but will end up costing you more in the long run. If you are only running your RO unit for short periods of time, you will have to replace your cartridges more often due to TDS creep.

There is another method, which is more expensive initially but will pay for itself in cartridges and piece of mind. That is the auto topoff system. Search around on RC for them, there are plenty of them out there, ranging from $20 in DIY parts to $100+ systems.

I personally opted for the Tunze osmolator. It cost me a bit more upfront, but I haven't had to touch the thing in over a year. Hope that helps. Good luck!
