Avatars.. Impossible!

Whats the deal with trying to change an avatar.

Changed it to 150x150 pixels! But then you get the The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 8192 bytes. slap in the face!!!

Does anybody have a step by step guide on how to create an avatar that RC will take?

How does everybody do it?

google for pixresizer and download, open the program, brouse for the image you want to use then set the size to whatever you need 150x150 etc...

I usually use PS to resize my image to the appropriate specs... The hardest thing to do is keep the resolution nice...

If you have some form of PS use the Save for web... under the File menu. It'll let you resize both the dimensions and file size - make sure the file size is under 7.9kb.

Where exactly do you go to upload your avatar? I'm missing something, and it's probably pretty obvious...

Use photobucket. Or use your gallery and link it over.

I personally use photobucket because RC doesn't allow offsite image linking.
