Average Price

Depends on where you are, where you're ordering from. Horses being sold by color isn't always good because horses tend to change colors to their environment. I have purchased all of my horses in Canada, and prices have ranged from 79 - 149 EACH. Then if you are having them flown to you, you must also pay the freight (about 60 bux with tax) on top of your order.

I have 13 horses right now, all different variations of yellow, with 2 exceptions...one is orange and one is mottled black/white.

Where are you thinking of purchasing from? What kind of horses are they and are they captive bred? I know of a great place that I got mine from, got to hand pick them too (on an out of town trip) and that was the best experience.

It really does vary quite a bit. Here in the milwaukee area, I see them ranging from $40 - $80 retail.

I too am getting mine in canada, Windosor Ontarion, they are called black sea horses, $119.00, and they are caught from the wild

Well, if it were me, I wouldn't purchase wild caught. I would wait a bit to see if you can locate some captive bred horses near you or have them shipped to you. My horses are pigs. Here's a pic of them just as I'm starting to feed them.

your horses are beautiful! I was i had the time money experiance (etc.) to have a 90G seahorse tank. But until I get all of those I just love pictures!

By the time you factor in the meds needed to treat the WC's, the tanks and time to do so, and te cost of keeping livefood ($10 to $20 a week per horse American dollars, some WC's never go to frozen food so that $10 a week could last for 6 or seven years) CB's that readily eat frozen mysis are always a bargin. :D
